John Paul Holt

Chairty Work

Jon Paul has worked on many charitable endeavours for many years and has personally helped to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for BC Hospital Children’s Cancer Research and for BC Women’s Breast Cancer research. Why?

“When so many things have been good for you, use that karma to give back. Good things flow in positive directions. Give and you will receive is something that religions from all around the world teach and preach, but it basically means, be thankful for what you’ve got and give back whenever and wherever possible.” Jon Paul says. “As hairstylists, we are particularly blessed to be able to help women through the terrible times they experience when going through Cancer treatments and especially if and when they lose their hair. We can help women feel better about themselves and who they really are by providing wigs and words of beauty advice and encouragement when they go through this hair loss. They often feel that they have lost their femininity and much if their self esteem. With our skills, we can show them that they are still truly beautiful and make them feel great about how they look. “What a wonderful profession we have as we have the skills and talents to make this a reality for them.”

He works with an artistic foundation called “Artists for Kids”, in which every year he helps produce a 5 day photographic experience for grade 12 art students in high schools in Vancouver. Famous Canadian artists donate work to this foundation to provide art projects for young Canadians. Here are some of the collections Jon Paul has helped produce with these students.#
